Self-care is important not just for your own well-being, but for the person you are caring for as well. If you are stretched physically and mentally, not only are you going to suffer, but so will the person you love and are looking after.
This monthly discussion and support group is a safe place to ask questions and share struggles and seek support with those on similar journeys. It is supported by AFTD and is held in multiple locations nationally. I facilitate the Portland, Oregon group as a volunteer but can link you up with other facilitators across the country.
